Maybe the 2016 election spurred them to action. Or perhaps politics is a lifelong dream.

Regardless, we want to know about under-40 political leaders working to make Pittsburgh better for its residents. Since last year, we’ve honored nearly 170 young professionals in various fields through our Who’s Next series, sponsored by S&T Bank.

For the second time we’re honoring political up-and-comers. A lot has happened since the first Who’s Next: Politics class was honored in early January — the Trump administration moved into the White House, there was a primary election in Allegheny County and candidates are gearing up for statewide races in 2018. It all means there are more young Pittsburghers stepping up to the political plate — and we want to know them. So tell us about the first-time candidates, the party leaders, the grassroots organizers and the staff members working in government and policy day-to-day.

Use the form below to nominate someone before 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13. You can also submit your nomination here. We’ll assemble a class of the standouts — and throw a party for them.
