Scare up some fun with a night at the museum

Back by popular demand, this year's annual Halloween blowout at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History is all about brutes and beasts in legend and in nature. Come in costume, sip on spooky cocktails, dance to DJ Bill Jakub of Pittsburgh Vibes Unlimited and check out monstrous specimens as part of the "Year of the Monster"-themed event. There will also be bats in the Grand Staircase, ghosts in Paleolab, live jumping spiders, a dinosaur light show and more. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Where: Carnegie Museum of Natural History at 4400 Forbes Ave. (Oakland)

When: October 21, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

How much: $15 in advance | $20 at the door | $13.50 for members
