In case you didn’t get invited to Windsor Castle for the royal wedding, you can still celebrate the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle here in Pittsburgh.

From a watch party on a giant screen to a resplendent fete to a tea-infused celebration, these local parties are pulling out the red carpet (one even literally) to celebrate the royal couple.

Yes, all of these parties require waking up before dawn. So if you’d rather celebrate at home in your pajamas, a few DIY recommendations:

  • Pick up some scones at Market Street Grocery (Downtown). These crumbly, buttery treats are some of the best in Pittsburgh.
  • Stop by Blue Monkey Tea (Squirrel Hill and Carnegie) for dozens of loose-leaf options, including a Prince of Wales tea, a Lady Londonderry tea and a Versailles Lavender Earl Grey tea.
  • Order something to-go from Piper’s Pub (South Side), like Scotch eggs or bangers and mash, for a taste of the British Isles.

Meet a royal family lookalike

This party at Rivers Casino promises a traditional English breakfast spread, screens to air the ceremony, a wedding cake of lemon and elderflower from the venue's in-house pastry chef, and a special guest with a "surprising resemblance to a member of the Royal Family." This mysterious guest will be on-hand to knight all attendees, cut the wedding cake and pose for portraits. But here's the catch: You have to win a chance to attend the party through a social media contest (details here).

Where: Rivers Casino at 777 Casino Dr. (North Shore)

When: May 19, 2018 at 6:30 a.m.

How much: Free for contest winners

Wear your PJs while watching the royals in their finery

This party includes fancy beverages but no fancy dress code. Guests are welcome to roll out of bed in their PJs for this royal wedding viewing party. Each ticket includes hot tea, two frozen mimosas, fancy pastries and tea sandwiches.

Where: Harris Grill at 5747 Ellsworth Ave. (Shadyside)

When: May 19, 2018 from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

How much: $27.03

Sip tea and send warm wedding wishes to the couple

It's a royal wedding party held in a tea shop, which seems like a very fitting venue. Imagine all the loose-leaf Earl Grey you can sip while celebrating with fellow fans of the British couple. Tupelo Honey Teas is teaming up with the Millvale Community Library for this wedding celebration. Stay tuned to the Facebook event listing for more event details as the date approaches.

Where: Tupelo Honey Teas at 211 Grant Ave. (Millvale)

When: May 19, 2018 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

How much: $15

Don a dapper hat for this lunchtime party

If you are not an early bird, this afternoon party is for you. As the event listing from Britsburgh says: "You can get up really early if you want to but why would you when you can join our Right Royal Wedding Party over lunch ... watch the recorded live edition from across the pond (that means no ads folks!)." Tickets include tea, a buffet lunch, and sweet treats. Brush up on your royal history in advance of a royal-themed quiz. Hats are encouraged but not mandatory. BYO(champagne, wine or beer).

Where: Sewickley Heights History Center at 1901 Glen Mitchell Road (Sewickley)

When: May 19, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

How much: $30

Sold out

Celebrate at one of Pittsburgh’s swankiest venues (sold out)

Sure, it's no Windsor Castle, but it's one of the most resplendent places in Pittsburgh. Celebrate in style at The Mansions on Fifth with a light breakfast, coffee and tea, a mimosa toast to the newlyweds, a DIY fascinator/hat station, and mini lemon elderflower cupcakes (the same flavor as Harry and Meghan's cake). Enter some giveaways and take home a wedding favor at this party hosted by Burgh Brides and Jessica Garda Events. Update: The event is sold out, but here's how you can add your name to the wait list.

Where: The Mansions On Fifth Luxury Hotel at 5105 Fifth Ave. (Shadyside)

When: May 19, 2018 from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

How much: $30

Watch it on the BIG screen (sold out)

Witness the royal wedding on the BIG screen at The Rangos Giant Cinema within Carnegie Science Center. Your morning will begin with a walk along the red carpet and a greeting from the "Queen’s Guard." Grab a spot o' tea or a mimosa, taste some famous British delicacies, and make a royal crown for the occasion. Then, snap some photos with a royal backdrop or take a selfie with the groom. With a screen this gigantic, it's the closest thing you can get to watching the festivities IRL at Windsor Castle. This event is now sold out.

Where: The Rangos Giant Cinema at Carnegie Science Center at 1 Allegheny Ave. (North Shore)

When: May 19, 2018 from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

How much: $40 | $35 members
