Practice ‘radical self-love’

Renowned poet and activist Sonya Renee Taylor will speak about her book "The Body Is Not an Apology: The Power of Radical Self-Love" in what's billed as "an evening of conversation, poetry, and radical self-love." The book identifies the correlation between systems of oppression and our relationships to our bodies. It's an event hosted by Big Idea Books, Black Unicorn Library and Archives Project, and BOOM Concepts.

Where: BOOM Concepts at 5139 Penn Ave. (Garfield)

When: April 9, 2018 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
