Update, Sept. 14: Which pierogi will be crowned the Ultimate Pittsburgh Pierogi? Vote now
Voting for this round has ended.
The last two non-churches were knocked out this week, creating a Final Four full of pierogies just like grandma makes — or in some cases are made by your actual grandmas.
Here’s the breakdown of Elite Eight races:
- Epiphany of Our Lord topped Our Place Homemade (Wilmerding) with 85 percent of the vote. Like in the previous two rounds, the Monessen church was in the most voted-in race and received the most votes. This time, Ephiphany also had the highest percentage of votes.
- Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Church (Ambridge) defeated the Pittsburgh Pierogi Truck with 68 percent of the vote.
- St. George Ukrainian Catholic Church (Brighton Heights) bested Saint Mary of the Mount Parish (Mount Washington) with 67 percent of the vote.
- Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church (Carnegie) beat Holy Family Parish (McKeesport) with 59 percent of the vote.
Vote for the Top 2
It’s already time to vote for the Top 2. Will Epiphany stay in the lead? Or will another church break away? Which pierogies go to the championship are all up to you.
