Meet an Incline member: Jessica Vickers

Supporting members make The Incline possible, so we wanted to put them in the spotlight with this series.

Meet Jessica Vickers, a proud Westwood resident and music lover who joined The Incline to learn about  “fun Pittsburgh-related things to do.” We’ve got you covered there. 😀

Where in town might people run into you?

At one of many concert venues, usually a Gene the Werewolf show.

What’s something you’re working on — in big ways or small — that you could use help with?

I would love to be put in touch with volunteering opportunities around the city. (Editor’s note: Reach out to Jessica, volunteer orgs!)

What local business do you think deserves a shoutout (and why)?

Antney’s Ice Cream. They haven’t been able to open this year because of family health problems, but the community supports them and just hopes for a speedy recovery.

What’s a local event you went to recently that you loved?

Millvale Music Festival. It’s become one of my favorite events to attend and volunteer at.

What’s a recent story you’ve read about Pittsburgh that you wish more people cared about (and why)?

I’ve recently read that Pittsburgh is dangerously low on donated blood for the hospitals. So many people rely on blood donations for life-saving procedures, and people just aren’t donating. People don’t have to wait for a blood drive, Vitalant has facilities set up where you can even donate on the weekends.

What are you celebrating in your life right now

Currently I’m celebrating a brand new job in Green Tree!

How can we connect with you?
