Nominate Pittsburgh’s helpers for our Who’s Next: First Responders class

Updated 5 p.m. Oct. 25, 2019: Nominations are now closed.

Updated 10 a.m. Nov. 11, 2019: Who’s Next: First Responders; Honoring 10 of Pittsburgh’s helpers

We’re looking for the helpers.

For our first-ever Who’s Next: First Responders class, we’re following the Fred Rogers adage and seeking out the under-40 Pittsburghers who deserve recognition for their work in this field.

That means the first responders going above and beyond the call of duty, the medical professionals on the front lines of the opioid epidemic, the police building and rebuilding community relations, and more. Think everybody from ambulance personnel to researchers developing new lifesaving equipment.

We’re also interested in those people working behind the scenes to make emergency services in Pittsburgh better and those supporting first responders coping with trauma.

But to do this, we need your help.

If you know a deserving first responder or someone who works closely with first responders, nominate them here by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25.

We’ll assemble a class of the standouts — and throw a party for them that you can attend, too.

Who’s Next, presented by S&T Bank, allows The Incline to introduce you to Pittsburgh’s rising stars. Catch up on our previous Who’s Next classes here.

Stay tuned and happy nominating.

This article has been updated to extend the deadline for nominations until Oct. 25.
