Everything you need to know about The Incline’s Ultimate Brackets

In March 2017, The Incline launched its first NCAA-style bracket to find the Ultimate Pittsburgh Fish Fry.

After some light-hearted teasing and nearly 60,000 votes, St. Alphonsus in Wexford was declared the winner. Since then, The Incline has crowned the Ultimate Pittsburgh Food Truck (winner = Hott Dawgz) and the Ultimate Pittsburgh Pizza, in which Vincent’s Pizza Park rose to the top.

So as you vote and look forward to the next round, here’s a short recap of how The Incline’s brackets work. We’re always looking for bracket ideas, so if you have one, tell us about it.

Who lands on a bracket?

The original 32 slots are based on reader nominations and staff research. There’s a nomination period before each bracket to collect recommendations on who to include. Find out when we’re collecting nominations by following us on Twitter and/or Facebook, as well as in our daily newsletter.

There is no fee to participate, and you can’t buy a spot in the bracket.

Tell your friends!

Contenders are welcome to encourage their fans to vote for them. Past participants have posted flyers and table talkers and created social media campaigns to rally their troops.

Keep on votin’.

Who advances in each round is strictly based on the number of votes for that round. We’ve had some tight match-ups, so every vote counts!

Yes, you can vote more than once in each round.
