The Incline’s Ultimate Pittsburgh Brewery Bracket Winner is…

Today’s the day we’ve all been waiting for: The announcement of who won the Ultimate Pittsburgh Brewery Bracket!

Before we cheers to the winner, we want to give a huge thank you to all of the original 32 nominees and to all of yinz out there who submitted your votes and supported these amazing local breweries.

This bracket saw many close calls, surprise victories, grit, and determination from all involved. Pittsburgh has so many awesome spots to grab a sudsy bev with your buds, so voting on the “ultimate” wasn’t easy. But we didn’t want this bracket to be about the “best” local brewery; it’s about celebrating our local businesses and letting them know that we care about the delicious brews they create.

🍻So fill your glasses or crack open a cold one, and get ready to cheers to the winner of the Ultimate Pittsburgh Brewery Bracket… Grist House Craft Brewery!

The final race was SO CLOSE. Both Eleventh Hour Brewing and Grist House Brewery are so well loved by the community that Grist House won by only a SINGLE VOTE! Can you believe that?

So what are you waiting for? Head to Millvale and enjoy a tall, foamy glass on Grist’s charming string-lighted patio with munchies from their tasty lineup of food trucks. Whether you’re an eternal hop-timist or a sour super fan, they’ve got a brew for you. Congrats, Grist House!

FYI: Grist House just released a Space Cactus New England IPA, Kaboom Candy Fruit Sour, and a Krisp Kölsch last week. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the Millvale Music Festival this Friday Aug. 6 and Saturday Aug. 7.Venues all across Millvale will be hosting live tunes this weekend, which includes performances at Grist House from Erika June & The Tunes, Grame and Mantle, Moonspeaker, vireo, Rebel Revolver, The Lo-Fi Project, The Sun Champs, Slam Band And Sam, Flubdub, TrailHeads, and Juvenile Characteristics.

Thank you to everyone who voted in The Incline’s Ultimate Brewery Bracket. Do you have an idea for a future bracket? Hit reply to this email to send in your suggestions!

🍺+🍕=❤️ And of course, an extra special thank you goes to our bracket sponsor, Caliente Pizza & Drafthouse. Is there a greater pair than pizza and beer? We don’t think so. And this pizza just so happens to be one of the best pizzas in the country, as voted in the 2019 World Pizza Championship.

With five locations across Pittsburgh (and two more in the works), Caliente Pizza & Drafthouse is your one-stop-shop for tasty ‘za and a cold beer. They have a selection of beers all across the country, and a lineup of local ones too.

❓ Bracket FAQs

How does a bracket work?

Here’s a quick primer on how our brackets work.

Who lands on a bracket?

The original 32 slots are based on reader nominations and staff research. There’s a nomination period before each bracket to collect recommendations on who to include. There is no fee to participate, and you can’t buy a spot in the bracket.

Keep on votin’.

Who advances in each round is strictly based on the number of votes for that round. We’ve had some tight match-ups, so every vote counts! Yes, you can vote more than once in each round.

How can I sponsor a bracket?

So you want a sponsor spot like Caliente’s Pizza and Drafthouse? Our sales team works with companies who want to sponsor brackets and related events. For more information, contact our sales team at benjamin@whereby.us.
