Anna Orso is a reporter/ curator at BillyPenn. She’s a former reporter for The Harrisburg Patriot-News/ PennLive.com where she worked in a digital-first environment covering crime and courts. While in Harrisburg, Anna produced enterprise pieces along with breaking news.
Prior to the Patriot-News, Anna covered Penn State in a variety of capacities. She was one of The Daily Collegian’s lead reporters when the Jerry Sandusky case broke in 2011, and later became the managing editor of the newspaper during her junior year.
While in State College her senior year, Anna was a stringer for The Patriot-News and The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. During that time, she also covered the Penn State football team for the student newspaper with a focus on improving digital presence and writing outside-the-lines stories.
Anna has a degree in journalism from Penn State. She’s from York, Pa. and is currently living in Fishtown.
