Try the top dishes from Millvale residents at Taste of Millvale, part of the borough's May Day celebrations. Sample food made from recipes submitted by residents for free, and a corresponding recipe book will be available. Plus, there will be entertainment and kids' activities.

Go inside St. Nicholas Croatian Catholic Church to see the murals of Maxo Vanka and learn about his life including success in Europe and life in the U.S. Tours are 60 minutes and start at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. There are also holiday tours at the same times on Dec. 29. Don't forget to stop for treats (included in the price) before or after your tour. Registration is encouraged.

Bike Pittsburgh is celebrating its 15th birthday with cake, beer and bikes. There will be a photo booth and activities like helmet decorating for the kids (but also, we assume, for the young at heart and soft of head). The $15 ticket pays for membership into the nonprofit advocacy group.
