Tour more than a dozen urban agriculture sites in the Pittsburgh area — including Braddock Farms, the Homewood Historical Community Farm and Steel City Soils — with the East End Food Co-op and Pittsburgh Food Policy Council. Bring water bottles (for water) and coolers (for goodies from the farms). Some sites will have food available for sale. The tour is self-guided.

Enjoy the music of Allegheny Brass Band at an outdoor concert series. Guests are invited to bring along a brunch — and even to compete in a best brunch competition.

When: August 6, 2017 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
How much: Free
Learn how to make a "personal greenhouse" (a.k.a. a terrarium) with the help of a Frick artist and instructor. The workshop, which includes materials, will offer guidance in designing, constructing and personalizing houseplant arrangements. Advance registration and pre-payment is required.
