This year was a busy one for self-driving car news. Two companies, Argo AI and Aurora Innovation, joined the scene, bringing the number of autonomous vehicle testers in the city up to five. There were proposals for policy and legislation, new partnerships and a better relationship between the city and Uber. So what will happen with self-driving cars in 2018? This year has been a pretty great year for Pittsburgh sports. Well, for the Penguins at least. For the Steelers it's been up and down, with plenty of ups, but some major downs. For the Pirates, it's been mostly just downs. And yet, for all three pro teams, and Pitt as well, there have been some incredibly memorable moments. From housing to businesses to residents, the Hill District is constantly facing change. But residents in the neighborhood are worried those changes haven't come with the benefits of economic growth, Public Source reported. So residents are working to protect their neighborhood's identity. "The only reason the Hill District hasn’t been redeveloped multiple times over many generations now into an extension of Downtown or purely an extension of Oakland is because the spirit and activism has been passed on intergenerationally," the president of the Hill CDC told Public Source.
