The advisory itself was put in place amid concerns about a tear in the Lanpher Reservoir’s cover that “could compromise water quality” by leaving the water vulnerable to animal and bird droppings containing bacteria or pathogens dangerous to humans. But given that not all water supplies are covered, what made this different? We found out.
The Penguins are playing today! No, not the Stanley Cup champs, but the Youngstown State Penguins, who face the Pittsburgh Panthers at 1 today at Heinz Field. The Pat Narduzzi era enters year 3 today, and the Panthers will try to do better than the 8-5 record they finished with the last two seasons. Will they? That's a definite ... maybe. DJ Gallo runs down a Q&A for the Panthers' football season.
