With twists and turns, thrills and stomach butterflies, marriage is like a roller coaster — especially for one couple who got married Friday afternoon on Kennywood’s Phantom’s Revenge. The park hosts about six weddings each year in various locations across the park — not all of them on coasters.
The bar at Smallman Galley is serving up '90s nostalgia in cocktail form with its new Sandlot-themed drink menu. On the menu: “The Great Spambino,” “L7 Weenie” and “Vincent Drug Store,” among other punny drinks.

Head Downtown for local Italian vendors, bocce and cooking demos at Highmark’s Italian StrEAT Festival. Emporio is hosting a meatball eating contest to see how many meatballs contestants can eat in seven minutes at noon Saturday, and there will be a creative pizza contest at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Rangos Omnimax Theater at Carnegie Science Center will soon close to make way for a new space this fall. Say goodbye by watching up to 31 hours of films, including "National Parks Adventure," "Sea Monsters" and "Pittsburgh's Big Picture." Cost of admission includes all 31 hours. Tickets must be purchased in person.

Hello Neighbor, a mentorship program for refugee families, is hosting a community potluck featuring food, games and one of the Pirates Pierogies. People who aren't part of Hello Neighbor are asked to donate what they can to support the program and bring one dish to share.
