Supporters of Martin Esquivel-Hernandez say today could be his last in the U.S. He's an undocumented immigrant who was living Pittsburgh before he was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement last spring. Last week, an immigration judge said no to his request to stay in the U.S. due to fears he'd be harmed in Mexico. A rally is planned for 5 p.m. in the South Side to ask ICE to “actually respect the city’s wishes and bring Martin home.”
A Pennsylvania Senate committee today voted to advance a bill that bans abortions in most cases after 20 weeks. The bill, sponsored by Republican state Sen. On Friday, Mayor Bill Peduto told The Incline about his disappointment in Uber over the past year. This included CEO Travis Kalanick's decision to serve on a Trump advisory council (he's since resigned) and the company's decision not to pitch in with Pittsburgh's Smart City Challenge application.
