Amazon is opening a second headquarters in North America, and Pittsburgh really, really wants it to be here. Mayor Bill Peduto, County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and other local leaders are already working on a bid to lure the company — with its 50,000 promised jobs and $5 billion in investments — TribLive reported. According to a release from the mayor's office, the city hasn't identified any possible parcels yet. Stay tuned.

Beginning today, the city's Art Commission will accept online public comments on the future of the statue, one deemed "the most racist" in America by VSB. The commission will then hold two public hearings on the subject in October before making a final decision Oct. 25.
