Two Pittsburgh-based activists were arrested in D.C. on Thursday protesting the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. Erin Kramer, executive director of One Pennsylvania, celebrated the defeat of the GOP replacement bill Friday, but said it's only round one. “We’re gonna have to stop them and hold them accountable by reminding them of the actual … lives that are at stake here,” Kramer said, “and by heading to the ballot box two years from now.”
Ex-Penn State president Graham Spanier was found guilty of one count of child endangerment over how he handled information that Jerry Sandusky sexually abused a minor in 2001, the Associated Press reported. Spanier was found not guilty of conspiracy and a second child endangerment count. The verdict was read Friday after 13 hours of jury deliberations.
