Row House Cinema will explore the role of women in film through a discussion and a screening of "Manifesto." A film studies expert will introduce the film, unpack the work's themes and examine the history of women in cinema.

A troupe of purring performers will ride skateboards, jump through hoops and perform in their band "Tuna and the Rock Cats." A portion of the proceeds will benefit foster and rescue efforts. The cats are in town from Oct. 11 through Oct. 15 with various performance times.

As a part of 31 Days of Hope, the Homeless Children's Education Fund will host a roundtable discussion titled We Live Here Too. The discussion will frame the issue of homelessness in Allegheny County and educate participants on ways to get involved with local organizations.
