What started as emergency projects on the day after the election grew into a citywide #PGHYouthVision Day. On Thursday, young people from across the city will share their visions for the future in Pittsburgh with a showcase and town hall at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater. You can go see it in person.
Pittsburgh is beginning to distribute free water filters as part of its Safe Water Plan to address lead concerns. The city will provide filters to more than 300 "family health centers, pediatricians, assistance offices and childcare providers" so they can be distributed to families with children under the age of 6. Members of the public in Pittsburgh and Millvale should fill out this form to request a filter or a lead testing kit. Related: Allegheny County is launching a lead task force, TribLive reported.
