The Church of the Covenant in Washington reached capacity on Wednesday for the funeral of Canonsburg police Officer Scott Bashioum. Inside, Ashley, his wife, spoke about her husband, saying, "Scott always vowed to make his life as a police officer count for something, and I think it's safe to say he succeeded," WTAE reported. Bashioum was shot and killed last week after responding to a domestic disturbance call. His partner Jim Saieva Jr. was shot and injured. He served as an honorary pallbearer Wednesday, TribLive noted.
