The fate of Jill Stein's Pennsylvania recount will be decided by Monday. A federal judge is expected to rule soon on the Green Party presidential candidate's request that voting machines be examined in six Pa. counties and ballots recounted in 17. Things have not been going great for Stein locally. An Allegheny County judge on Thursday rejected her campaign's plea to examine voting machines, while Monday's recanvass of machines from 52 precincts turned up nothing out of the ordinary. Also worth noting: Allegheny County's Board of Elections is set to certify election results Monday at a 9 a.m. meeting.
It's Dec. 10, and you still don't have a Christmas tree. That's OK — no judgment here. Only help. The Incline mapped a number of places in the region where you can cut down your own tree, all less than an hour’s drive from the city. Note: Some farms require appointments, so calling ahead is advised. Happy chopping.
