Folks who remembered to save a snowball from this winter can toss the icy relic into the river using a snowball slingshot. Other solstice-themed activities include two live science demonstrations to help beat the heat, snowflake make-and-takes, an ice moon activity in the Buhl Planetarium and snow cones available for purchase. All-ages welcome.

The Carnegie Science Center's Buhl Planetarium hosts a winter solstice edition of SkyWatch. At 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Celebrate Halloween with Rocky Horror at this 21+ Night. Costumes welcome; live music and cash bar. "It's just a jump to the left. And then a step to the right."
