Learn about Pittsburgh’s historic buildings

At "The Greater Good: How Historic Designation Saves Our City," learn about city-designated historic buildings and districts with a special focus on the East End. Preservation Pittsburgh and the East Liberty Valley Historical Society will lead the discussion.

Shop and give to the Women’s Center and Shelter

Shop at Ten Thousand Villages, and 10 percent of sales will go to the Women's Center and Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh. The store will also collect items for the shelter through Saturday. Needed items include new bath towels, pajamas, robes, slippers and underwear (for women and for children) as well as Arm & Hammer diaper pail refill bags and diaper genie bags. Those who donate items will receive a free bracelet and a coupon for 25 percent off one item.
