Celebrate George Romero and his films

What It's October (arguably the spookiest month of the year), so naturally Row House Cinema is celebrating the works of Pittsburgh's favorite master of scares: George Romero. The week-long celebration continues Saturday with showings of "Knightriders," "Creepshow," "Season of the Witch," "Day of the Dead" and "Night of the Living Dead." On this scavenger hunt, explore Romero’s filming locations

What Row House Cinema's #RomeroWasHere scavenger hunt sends competitors to visit a number of George Romero movie set locations throughout the region. The rules sound intense, but it's worth it for these prizes: VIP seats to select screenings during A Celebration of George A. Romero week, a six-pack of Zombie Sodas and a gift card to Bierport, and more. The games began Sept. 13, so this is the first weekend to participate.

Go ‘Office Space’ on a printer

What Printers will be ready for smashing at Row House Cinema, offering a chance to act out "Office Space's" iconic scene. Each participant gets a few hits until printers run out. Guests who bring their own printer get a free small popcorn (but will not get their printers back, obviously). After all of that, which begins at 6 p.m., the movie starts at 7:10 p.m.

‘Philadelphia’ screenings to benefit LGBTQ kids

What Row House cinema is screening "Philadelphia," for which Tom Hanks won an Oscar for his portrayal of a lawyer with AIDS, on Monday and Wednesday. $3 from each ticket will go to Proud Haven, a nonprofit that supports LGBTQ kids and is trying to open a shelter for trans youth. Monday's screening starts at 7 p.m.; Wednesday's at 9 p.m.
