The Penguins have won back-to-back Stanley Cup championships, the first team since 1997-98 to repeat as NHL champs. This season’s title gives the Penguins five as a franchise, tying them with the Edmonton Oilers for the sixth-most in NHL history.

Sidney Crosby led the Pens to their third title in 10 years, and this year’s Penguins repeat what the Mario Lemieux-led teams in the 90s did, winning back-to-back titles. Amazingly, they stayed healthy enough to win the title, without several key players throughout the playoffs.
