The weather is getting warm. It’s baseball season. Summer festivals are on their way. And what’s summer in Pittsburgh without waiting in line for your favorite foods served out of a truck? After more than 14,000 votes cast in our second NCAA-style bracket, Hott Dawgz was named the Ultimate Pittsburgh Food Truck. The truck offers the handheld summer classic with toppings from the classic ketchup and mustard to the more unique bacon-wrapped hot dog with mac ‘n’ cheese and BBQ sauce.
Has the excitement worn off? Nah.
Pittsburgh voters spoke: If you’re eating from a food truck, hot dogs — the handheld, summer classic — are the way to go.
Who will be crowned the champion: Las Chicas or Hott Dawgz? Vote by 10 a.m. June 26.
